Take a peek at our Special’s section to find out what EACH restaurant has going on. We have food specials Monday through Thursday night and they are priced just right. Can I make a reservation?
No, and you don’t have to wear a tie either. Our policy is first come, first serve.Do you deliver?
No, we don’t deliver but you can call in your order to go! At our Auburn location, we even have reserved parking to make it easier and faster to get your order when you’re in a hurry. Just look for the green monster in the Auburn store…that’s where you’ll pick up your to go order. At the lake, we’ll have your order ready for you at the bar!Do you take the Tiger Club Card?
No, we just couldn’t keep our specials and low prices and pay the fees associated with the card. We do take all other major credit cards and we still take cash.Who is Niffer?
“Niffer” is the nickname of one of the original owners of Niffer’s Place. His last name is Niffenegger and by complete accident he closely resembles the nerdy character. The Niffer guy was created to portray the mainstream public looking for good food at a good value in a fun atmosphere. Keep it up Niff! FYI-Keely Beasecker, AU alumni swimmer, and Matt Knitter, Opelika boy, are the current owners. How long has Niffer’s been around?
We’ve been serving up great food and fun in Auburn since August 1991 and at Lake Martin since April 2002Why are there fish hanging everywhere in your restaurants?
We’ve been told we have more fish than The Georgia Aquarium. That’s because, one of our traditions is that every employee has the opportunity to decorate a fish and pick out a spot to hang it up. We’re committed to keeping the fish hanging out as long as Niffer’s is around. It has been a fun right of passage for Niffer’s employees and its cool to see an ex-employee come in and show their fish to their kids. Why a fish?
It’s pretty uncomplicated, we just thought it was a shape that you could make lots of things from and Boy! they sure have! How many employees do you have?
It ranges from 120-150 with almost 90% of them part-time. We have some long (not old)-timers too, that have been with us from the beginning. That’s up to 15 years!Do you sell franchises or stock?
No, we don’t have stock (well, chicken stock, but that’s a different story). We are not publicly traded and we just haven’t gotten around to selling franchises, YET. Make us an offer!
